So L just bit the dust and i'm struggling to remain interested. Is it worth finishing or should I just move on to something else?

It's hard to watch after that... And I confess I kinda didn't belived he died... Like every 5 seconds I thought "Hehe, any moment now L is going to appear and tell how he beat death"... But no. He's dead for real. The bright side is, the end is (in my opinion) pretty damn awesome and satisfying. Go and finish the damn anime.

Hahaha. No... Without commenting eith a spoiler, I can say; the end is pretty good. It's worth waiting some boring episodes to get to the good part... In myy personal opinion, I hated Light from the third episode. Fucking faggot, feeling he was God. So, the end... was good enought. :)

It was the same here. I can respect their trying to be unpredictable, but the story was just too heavily invested in his character.

Drop it. Light dies, he gets fucked up by a poor L replacement, who beats him with some left-field asspully trick.
