Ok so let's back up when Dragon Ball Z starts, so Goku is a grown up and has a son, we know that the guy may be the strongest martial artist in the planet along with Piccollo, but almost everything about his past remains a mystery, all we know is that he's not human and turns into a fucking ape when there's full moon. Now in in the first episode, right in your fucking face appears his brother, we get an introduction about the saiyan, he teams up with fucking Piccollo (childhood mindblow) and he dies along with Raditz, not without telling us that 2 more saiyan which are way stronger than him are noticed about his death...at this point DBZ is everything that we wanted to be, action, backstory, new enemies, and feels. Goku returns and faces his nemesis, the missing part (IMO) in DB, Vegeta, he has to be the first badass cartoon villain that we all admired, he defeats Goku and Nappa and Saibaman kill most of the Z warriors. This is a big moment when we first watched this anime, we noticed that all the major characters including Goku are fucking trash compared to the other fighters in the DBZ Universe, that even the strongest (Goku) is just a meere amateur compared to Vegeta... ok now what? We get more backstory we've been all waiting for, about the Kamisama and his origin, about this plannet full of Picollos and hiding another Dragon Balls, yeah the main plot in DRAGON BALL, Bulma decides to look for them, like in the old days, too fucking exciting. Now being there we get 2 major surprises, there's someone ABOVE Vegeta and we get the backstory of the saiyans, we get introduced to Frieza, the conquerer of worlds...he's the ultimate villain (at least in DBZ), he fucking annihilated the saiyans with a single blow, now that's an enemy to be afraid of, especially because Goku couldn't defeat his servant. Then this happens, Vegeta teams up with Krilin and Gohan, he's scared shitless of Frieza, and with all the reason, this is something that few spected back then.
