>>132849064>Yes, but that incident was to make the crab give her weight back and go awayThat's the usual fake premise, the real "weight" that the god crab took away was an emotional weight.
>Plus, true to fact, she still, even post Shiro, blames herself for her mother's mental breakdown and admits this to her boyfriend in Nise and Tsubasa on Shiro. Because she got back those emotions and memories, yeah.
>Nisio just shoved that part under the carpet> along with her blantant insecurity in Koi.No idea of what you are trying to say. Actually, I have an idea, but I hope I'm wrong.
>Hanekawa's had her almost dying to accept all the parts of herself, permanently changed her hair color, and nothing changed in her life other than embracing her emotions. Her parents are happy with each other and still neglect her, nor did they pay for that lifetime of neglect. That's true and all, but
> she got literally nothing out of accepting her emotions.this isn't. Actually that's completely wrong.
She finally becoming a mature and stable personality. In Kuro she was a person able to harm more than 50 people, and in shiro her envy was so strong that she had to get rid of it. What she did is saving herself from herself, and her current and future life from the monster that was inside her.
She gained a real, proper personality. It's like you forgot the first Neko White chapters, she was basically a blank page in the most basic things like taste and some basic behavious.
And she gained a real, irreplaceable friend. The most intense part of the novel for me is the part of the epilogue about their friendship.
So, no, she literally gained a life and the possibility of buiding a future.
