I think they did it decently.

Obviously the original was better, but it's kind of unfair considering just how detailed and generally good OPM's art is. Nothing could do it justice.

Makes me wonder why they even bothered animating it knowing they'd never be able to out do or keep up with how the manga is drawn and choreographed. Especially in the time limit anime episodes are produced in.

I don't know what scheduling the manga is under but they've clearly got an unfair advantage over the anime team.

People try to excuse this crying about budged, but once you get down to it all that scene is a camera rotation around the character head, something that is a basic exercise any artist will do when practicing drawing a character.
Add to that that Saitama's head is just a simple oval and this is just embarrassing.

Rotating a character and a background takes a lot of camera movement, layout, and planning.

They probably didn't have time to do all that.
