While on the topic of N2 mines, why even use them? just use tomahawks and the multitudes of artillery they have. Less collateral damage and dare i say cheaper. If you really want to launch aircrafts- we have vtol capability jets already, tilt rotor aircrafts and of course helicopters. Last thing, keep in mind this is Nerv HQ we are talking about, don't assume they don't have a catapult hidden in one of the mountains. Well their regular elevators already act like catapults..
