I just started watching this again and was wondering what other people might think about it.

It might have lots of techno babble, but I love sci-fi stuff so that kind of thing never bothered me. I'd say the negatives are

Overly vague story
techno babble
some reuse of animations (the transformations for the robots being particularly reused)

positives

good VA work, decent dub (dub might be rose tinted glasses though)
very solid atmosphere and soundtrack to match
interesting story, if you get past how little is revealed for most of it
