Kizu is the only one licensed so far, and at the recommendation of Nisio's editor. In the afterword Nisio says it's as good a place to start as Bake, anyway.

Cover looks fine to me. I was mostly impressed they got VOFAN to do art exclusively for this release. The only questionable thing on Vertical's part is the subtitle "Wound Tale", but it's not like "Scar Story", "Scar Tale" or "Wound Story" roll off the tongue any better.

I guess that means Bakemonogatari will be "Ghost Tale" instead of the fitting portmanteau "Ghostory".

Either way, I'm excited for this release and will definitely buy it. Hope the rest of the series gets published too.

The Japanese cover is a spartan all-red with a little bit of text thing. The thing on the left is a box for storage. This is how all Monogatari is formatted.

You're not wrong, but bakemono is a blanket term for all kinds of oddities and unknown creatures. However, in the context of the story, "Ghost" is more accurate because of the usage and presence of obake/bakemono, specifically spirit animals of Japanese folklore.

I'd say "Ghostory" works best because it's the English equivalent of the portmanteau Bakemonogatari already is.
