what's the deal with this show? I keep getting the feel that scenes are supposed to be cool or funny, but it completely fails at it. is it just low quality source material?

I feel like some of the scenes are weird, I know that banter is a part of the show but sometime's there's too much dialogue and it can mess the flow of the show.

I'll stick with it though, the premise of the Heavy Objects is interesting and it's weird to have an anime with two male MCs that are just friends who aren't gay or rivals due to tragic circumstances.

The banter is kind of annoying, but I like that it gets them into trouble every time they're trying to be sneaky but can't shut the fuck up.

I think the directing is the biggest issue. Maybe all that banter is ok for a LN but it doesn't translate well into an anime so it feels shitty.

Aside from the first episode, I'm legitimately enjoying this anime and not feeling any of the "flow" and "pacing" problems /a/ loves to complain about. If anything the bullshit explanation for the objects are my favorite part of the show.
Will surely read the LN after the anime ends.

Why are they putting the only guy who's taken down an Object without an Object back on the front lines, rather than putting him in an administrative role where he can share his knowledge with others, thus creating opportunities to rely on people other than two fucks? Because the higher ups feel threatened by him so they want to get rid of him while making it seem like an on-the-job occurrence.
