Takano, being obviously upset over this--and understandably so--since Kodansha were the ones that approached him to bring Blood Alone over to them from Media Works, where the series was originally published.
Since then, Takano has continued releasing the series through his website, and self-publishes the volumes at various conventions in Japan.
