Himari's second death. Not saying that was bad because I really like the last episodes too, but I didn't liked how crazy and overly symbolic the plot became. That's why cutting Ringo's part feels like a downgrade to me, it cuts one of the most enjoyable parts of the anime.
Not to mention that Ringo wasn't the only ''wasted part'', there was a bunch of episodes, arcs and character that would easily be removed without the story losing too much.
