There's countless manga/anime that celebrates humanity over monsters such as JoJo and Full Metal Alchemist.

While in Dragon Ball, if you're a human, you're basically death fodder, even if your life sums into "training" and "fighting" (see: Tenshinhan, Krillin, Yamcha). It doesn't helps the only relevant characters in DBZ have their race defined by mindless violence.

Still, after all that, I keep seeing people shit other animes in favor of "muh epic dragon ball". What's the deal? Is it fun to watch dude being strong because he has "special blood" and not because he's amazing?
