There's an alarming number of shows every season that don't get passable fansub releases any more. In those cases when HS is literally the only decent option for archiving, it's still better than nothing.

I don't think anyone would argue in favor of archiving HS over other options, but generally there is often a year+ period of waiting for BDs to release and then get proper subs.

If during this waiting time you decide to catch up on a recent show you didn't watch in season, or decided to un-drop it or something, you can just go to the batch to check off the rest of the eps or get them all.

Just wait till BDs come out and re-download them. The BDs rips are usually native 1080p unlike upscales on HS.

Remember you said you would start supporting multiple fonts used in CrunchyRoll releases? Any idea when?

There's nothing wrong with Open Sans Semibold, but CR actually use multiple fonts per episode, mainly for typesetting, and HS rips don't currently preserve this.
