What's the fastest a manga series has gotten canceled? I'm curious.
The shortest time I can think of right now is Sensei no Bulge (lol).
It ran in WSJ and was cancelled after a measly 16 chapters.
Have there been series out there that have been complete, utter failures like this one?

all series are given about 10 chapters, if by that time they keep on the late rank, they are given the axe and give another 5-6 chapters to wrap up, so the shortest any serie will be is about 15-16 chapters

Gun Blaze West was a cancellation that always pissed me off because it was only three volumes. It ran for about 4 months in WSJ, so I think it had to be around 20 chapters? Granted this was back when I didn't know shit about anime and manga, but it was really abrupt and closed off this really unique world. Although the "West beyond the West" thing was kind of retarded (it basically said there was a whole land West of California that was a true Cowboy's Paradise).

I'd actually love to see more of it, but sadly that'll never happen.

Someone mentioned a one-chapter cancellation a few weeks ago, but I can't remember it or any good terms to find it in the archive.
Most recently, Watari-kun got cancelled after nine chapters, but that's a monthly, so it's a bit different.
