Also, yes, the opinions of the creators of something are only going to have so much effect on me. Creators say many, many things over the years and what they say often changes, is misheard, is misspoken, misrepresented, or mistranslated. Their opinions also change quite a bit as time goes on. So no, the word of the creator is not the end all be all of the discussion.
