Whoever made that image is an idiot. The shit that happens in Ikuhara shows are both real and metaphors at the same time. For example, Utena really does turn into a car in the movie, but it still means something.

Has anyone listened to audio commentary?

My level of japanese wasn't enough to understand it all, but Aoi Yuuki's acting was praised almost every time Mitsuko appeared on screen. Like, in the 3 episode she resembled Sumika too much and they had to do a retake for her to sound more like Mitsuko.

From the start Ikuhara planned to include Kureha's father as caller but then changed his mind to all girls setting. Also, ther were a lot of female staff in production and he consulted with them about girly things.

Fuck, this chick pretty much made the entire show for me. I was disappointed when they killed her off fairly early but ecstatic when she returned towards the end, every antagonist following her was completely forgettable.
