Escanor's body grows during the day.
That axe was gigantic in comparison to Night Escanor last chapter.
He's probably like 4-5 m tall in the morning, and potentially comparable to Diane at his peak seeing how big the axe is in comparison to his various forms.

Stupid, pointless AND useless. An axe's advantage is that you can easily switch the sway of the blade with the grip, unlike a sword. Also, you won't be parrying anything, unlike a sword, where you are expected to use it to defend yourself with.

base design is kinda modeled after historical weapon, but not sure if decorations don't make it more prone to breaking. Handle guard itself shouldn't ever happen on axes
