So I have been goind through some recommendations and watched twelve kingdoms as of late.
I liked the worldbuilding and the characters. Yoko was a decent MC and made a good character development.

Up to the point where she became queen, the anime was quite catching and I enjoyed it a lot. After that point I really became really uninterested in the story because they started that arc with the boy that went nowhere and everything dragged on forever. I'm glad I skipped huge parts of his story because it ultimately did nothing.
Now I'm aware that it is based on a light novel which is pretty long so they skipped a lot in the anime. Is the LN better in telling the whole story and should I give it a try?
