This fucking manga, man.
As a whole, I don't think it's as good as Honey & Clover, because the Shogi scenes sometimes verge into sports manga territory and don't really mesh all that well with the rest.
But the individuals scenes and emotional threads are just goddamn sublime. The fact this manga received no attention from the English community for the longest time is a fucking travesty.
I know it's impossible but I still hope the anime will be the next project of the Kenichi Kasai/Junichi Sato dream team after Amanchu.
