Symphogear G did this great, where during the last minute and half of an episode, the bgm would switch to trance music for the lead up to the reveal of the week. The music always matched the key and tempo of the ending theme, so you'd get the big reveal, and before you even realise it, it cuts to the pulsating visualizer because the ED has already started.
