Never played it either, but from what I've read of the plot synopsis, she's one of a numberof kidnapped children (she's 14) who were abducted and turned into experimental psychic pilots. She escaped the torturous facility in that pod thingy and tries to get someone to help her stop the evil organization trying to take over the world.
She's also got nifty subconscious mental programming that turns her into a heartless killing machine at certain points and she ultimately ends up piloting the final boss mech, the Warlock, that is powered by the souls of the dead.
And yes, she is naked the whole time. But don't go looking for any sort of extraneous material featuring her, because nearly 100% of this game's doujins are about the damn loli pirate.
