Here's some screengrabs of the Pizzaz and Chrysalis, as well as some mood shots of her office.

Pizzaz does this thing where she makes film noir shades appear on her for dramatic effect, just something you can include if you want.

Let me know if you need more references.

Animation is so-so. Artstyle is really good and if you like cyberpunk or the retro '80s sci-fi look you'll like this. Writing wise? It needs a lot of work. It's trying way too hard most of the time. I'm hoping it gets better but I'm not holding my breath.

Right now it's about a 4/10; it's basically trying to be synthwave Archer with more period references and it's pretty bad for it. The visuals aren't bad and neither is the voice acting but the writing is absolutely fucking hideous

Except it's nothing like that.
The humor is much more visual and silly then archers character banter based comedy.
It has much more in common with metalocalypse then archer.

Was so inspired by the latest episode that I returned to this thread. Was so surprised this thread still exists that I re-made my previous minor contribution.

Made earrings a bit better, applied a shadow just to the earrings, tweaked colours but did not add cigar. It looks like the last few episodes did away with her cigar.

The new stuff, with the badge bunny and Chrysalis, and Oni's Pizzazz, is truly great. Well done, Anon.

Why are you guys comparing it to Archer or even the Venture Brothers? Both of those shows in their heydays were better than nearly every other animated show writing wise.

Compare Moonbeam to early Metalocalypse, it's got one of the same major writers (Tommy Blacha) and it's by the same animation studio.

I've only seen 3 eps, it seems like they have a dry first half to set up a great second half. I could see that easily getting old, but I'd like to see it get at least some good amount of time to see if it, given time, it can make it over that hump. Wouldn't be surprised to see it be a one-and-done, though.

As funny as that was, I was wishing Rad wasn't a Joke character, but actually a competant and bad ass cop that axtually gets shit done as a rival to Dazl. I was hoping for Thor and Loki level atuff, but then the whole joke is that the whole police department is a joke, though it looks like that's on purpose done by the mayor.
