Oooooh I just graduated! I'm a learn-the-hard-way kind of guy so I can help with this.
>>16382946Pretty good. Finance is spot on, that's my degree. I am pretty solid at managing my money now though. 95% of finance majors saw wolf of wallstreet and think they're gonna make bank, when in reality they'll eventually be thankful for any position where they're not selling obsolete mutual funds to people who don't know any better.
>>16382952God #1 is so fucking important. Yes, in college you can be a total shlub. Don't. I often went a week+ without shaving and went to class in old sweatpants and would wonder why I wasn't getting laid more. Even tho I was dressed up for parties, everyone remembered what I looked like on the off days.
>>16382968next post will be basics on how to be social. Make a facebook. Just do it. If you are trying to be 'off the grid' or are paranoid about our google overlords: You're a bigger red flag if you don't have facebook, seriously. I've got connections in "big data" and the ad industry. You are more visible if you don't have a facebook. Insta and twitter you don't need, get a snapchat though.
Snap is important to have for the inevitable girl who inexplicably will want to send you, of all people, some nudes. It will happen, at least once, especially if you don't have snapchat, and you will then forever kick yourself about it. Otherwise you can ignore it without consequence.
back to majors:
most business and communication majors are empty shells who think they'll get to be a CEO as long as they get a 4.0. There are a handful that are great, driven people though.
Theatre majors stereotypically throw some of the best parties, but you probably aren't invited. They're often very polite and nice to anyone who isn't one of them, but they're super cliquey. You're either in or you're out.
If you meet any straight guy dance majors, be good to them. In my experience, they're always great people to be around.
