I'm a 35 year old virgin. I'm 6'2", average looks, live by myself, make 90k a year, and I'm a fairly enjoyable person to be around. Why am I a virgin? Mainly really bad social anxiety when I was young and afraid of being judged by people. I was really quiet and "beta" as you would call it, I wasn't very aggressive. As I've gotten older I've become more comfortable with myself and have progressively starting caring less about what people think about me.
I met this woman while out grocery shopping. She seemed interested in me so I said why not and I asked her for her number, and she gave it to me. She's 28 and pretty good looking. On our 3rd date she was being much more seductive than normal. Even I as a virgin could see where this was going. I decided to casually tell her I was a virgin. At first she thought I wasn't being serious but she realized soon enough I was being serious. She had a very sour reaction to it, she seemed really bothered and immediately turned off by it. I'm not daft and I saw that she wasn't pleased with what she just heard. I told her "Look, I'm just going to spare us both the awkward conversation and I'm just going to take my leave." and I left.
I fully expected that reaction but I told her anyway. Why? Because I don't want to be with a woman who is bothered by it, plain and simple. I have nothing against a woman that's bothered by it but we're clearly not compatible, so moving on to the next one. I hadn't heard from her nor did I care to try and contact her.
A week later she calls me, she apologized for being rude and she wants to see me again. I was taken aback by this, why? I told her I didn't really care about her reaction and it just means we're not meant for each other and I told her I'm not interested in continuing. She kept apologizing and said she thought I was really nice and sweet and she was just "surprised".
I don't really buy it but do I go out on another date with her? Seems suspiciously weird she suddenly changed her mind.
