I love math and science. What's a good major to pick? Or career paths?

I tried learning Python and it was really hard, I prefer straight up math but it probably wouldn't be as tough in a university setting... most likely.

how is learning python hard ?
you need to learn at least 1 progamming language in most science related majors.
programming is easy and an essential tool for science related stuff.

Yeah most science degrees and all math degrees require at least 1 course of CS. Python is easy mode compared to a quarter/semester of CS

for people with zero programming experience any programming language is hard to learn

it takes some head adjustment to get used to moving data around programming control flows things like that

but math majors are usually good programmers once they get started

Coding is way easier than Calc 2 and up. If you can do Calc 2 you can probably learn any sort of programming.

Math major here gonna graduate soon. Not sure if this was worth it.

Trying to break into actuarial science by studying for those exams and financial math and statistics though.
To OP: I regret not l learning more programming along the way. Now I have to catch up by trying to teach myself from scratch to even be remotely competitive in almost every single field outside of just teaching. Take a course in it while you can at least to get started.

I can do Calc, I tried codecademy for Python and it was just hard for me. If I put in more time I could learn it, I just enjoy doing math more.

This but stats major, which required a few CS classes. Glad I chose that over pure math.

Going to assume you don't like engineering OP, so go for stats or some colleges offer financial math and go into the finance sector.
