Headsets are a waste of your money. A $15 USB stick microphone sounds better than the little piece of crap on even expensive headsets. In fact the microphone on a cheap Logitech webcam will work great, plus you get the webcam. You're looking at the screen anyway so you're speaking directly at the mic positioned atop it.

Everything else is a matter of taste unless you're a pro FPS player, which you aren't because you're still collecting PC parts and peripherals. Just look for good deals.

This is true, but headsets are super convenient. What you could do is get a decent set of headphones, and an "antlion mod mic". Really good audio quality, plus you'll have headphones that aren't shitty.

Also, I was in that thread. I thought you were buying actual pc parts, not accessories
