I'm considering getting cosmetic surgery, specifically a rhinoplasty/otoplasty and maybe throw some laser surgery for my skin in there, but that's not as bad so my issues might clear up before then, but I digress.

What are some pros/cons of this? I only recently turned 18 and I might get it done next summer. And I'm wondering if I should wait a couple years to let my face naturally grow (if that's a thing.) but then again, I sincerely doubt a couple/few years would make my nose smaller or make my ears smaller/pinned back.

Wat do? I just want to fucking look good

I would first make a sincere effort to apply yourself when it comes to enhancing your physical attributes that naturally make you attractive in the first place. Try a new haircut, new style, lose some weight, gain some weight, age a little. Honestly it's not as hard to have a full body transformation as it may seem. Light exercise, a decent diet plan, and good sleep can go so far and it's crazy how few people take advantage of the small changes that can generally increase your quality of life. Give it 5 -10 years, if you are still waking up every day hating yourself, maybe see a doctor and see if there's an underlying issue, if it's all good in the neighborhood go for it. At the end of the day it's your body just realize there are risks in surgical options that frankly aren't present in any other natural solution. And let's be real here, at 18 you aren't anywhere near bloomed into the person you will eventually become, and making a surgical change to a naturally growing face is only going to blemis whatever natural attractiveness could come out of whatever you've got going on up there. Tl;dr give it some time, make an effort first, then go under the knife if all else fails to help you be happy.

Depending on what problem you think your nose has. Dont do 'too much', the best work is suble 'slimming' and 'refining' of the original nose shape.

Often 'before' pictures look better than 'after' because there was a natural rhyme and reason to the charecter of the nose that 'fit' the face, after correction too drastic a change will always look terrible.

I don't plan on going "all out"

I just want subtle stuff.

Maybe an ear pinning and a subtle refining of my doofy fucking nose.
I've got a bulbous roman nose, and so to try and make it look like a european/celestial nose would be ridiculous as mine is far too gone from such a state. But just trying to slim it down a bit and make it look subtly better would be enough for me.

I'll heavily look into it, thank you.

Mind posting some just for the sake of argument here? I have a hard time believing there is any case of ears being so ridiculous inhuman that you can't work with what you've got and try to compliment them with a hairstyle

You can do what the plastic surgeons do, take very high quality photos of your face (make sure you have proper non-angled 'equal' lighting) take head on straight face shot, profile shots of each side, and one from under chin showing nostrils. All these photos must be very level to the horizon.

Then use software to measure the diffrent angles of all the things on your nose. Thats what they use to approximate changes. They also photoshop the changes as well to help the patient 'see' what they're talking about.
