I had this really good friend who was a girl since high school. We were best friends and I personally never had feelings for her but she told me she had feelings for me about 4 years ago. I told her I didn't feel the same way and she was really sad and upset. She ended up not talking to me since then to my dismay. About a month ago she contacts me again and told apologized for back then and she wanted to make up for lost time. I said okay, that's cool with me. We kind of ended on a sour note and she was a good friend so whatever. I figured in this time frame she's moved on.

She told me after that fiasco she met another guy and she got engaged to him not too long ago. Good for her, I was happy for her. It was normal with her again and enjoyed being friends again. Yesterday she asked to come over to my place. Everything was normal initially but then she said she had a confession to make.

She told me she still had feelings for me and she never forgot about me. She said she feels like she's being pressured into getting married and doesn't want to. She said he's a nice guy but she never got over me. She says I'm all shes thought about since then and I'm the only person she wants to marry. Needless to say, I was pretty surprised. I told her I was flattered but I didn't feel the same way. She asked me why and if something was wrong with her. I told her there was nothing wrong with her but I just never had feelings for her.

She asked me to give her a chance because she knows we were 'meant to be'. I wasn't going to get out of this so I told her I would think about it but to not expect anything. She said okay.

What do I do? I really never thought about her that way before the first time she told me she liked me. She's always been more of a sister to me. I've lost some respect for her since shes going behind her fiance's back though, I thought that was pretty foul. She didn't do anything with me, she's still playing both fields emotionally.
