Most people don't make it to grad school until their late 20's to 30's anyways, and in the course of working you may find that you aren't even interested in going back to school. Goals change, people change. Things almost never go as expected, and that is OK. I don't know where you got the idea that everything has to go your way all the time or else life isn't with living, but it's time to let go of it entirely. I've been on the street before too, and now I'm not. I dropped out of engineering, and I'm now working in IT. Things have not gone according to plan. Life is still good.
