How old are you? Why not just find a breeding fetishist to reproduce with, instead of paying for a donor?
I'm a single mom (though I am still involved with the father), and I have to say, don't do it if you don't have a really strong and available support network. My parents are the only reason I get out of the house once or twice a week. I know I'm stating the obvious, but babies are very, very demanding. I could only shower if someone watched him the first month, because he woke up and cried so frequently.
It makes everything harder to get done, even the little things like eating breakfast or combing your hair. It's like he has an alarm that goes off in his head whenever I try to handle my own needs. And my baby isn't even colicky; they can be much, much needier.
Also please remember that pregnancy complications can kill you. If you're in the US, we have an unusually high maternal mortality rate for a developed country. It's rare, but not as rare as it should be.
