I've been listening to x band for a while. To admit, they really have shit performances but a few good ones. After a while, I've been seeing a lot of hate on the band and the subgenre recurrent in their songs BECAUSE OF THE FANBASE. They reason that they don't like it because it's what edgy 12 year olds--as they put it--listen to and associate the band's genre to the genre that they came from.

And...I honestly felt the stigma infect me. I start to worry that I must be listening to shit and all hopes of defending x band is useless because some retards went on to talk shit about x band.

How do I stay strong with the band I truly like? They're energy is genuine and they do their songs and performances good overall.
