I'm in university with depression and I can't take it anymore. I had to drop a bunch of my courses this semester and I think about suicide obsessively.I never liked school to begin with but now I'm as unmotivated as ever.

Should I just drop out and become a wageslave?

I don't enjoy living, but I feel some kind of responsibility with my community since I was threated well and don't wanna dissapoint my family.

I will continue living even if the only things I enjoy are eating sleeping and fapping. But that was my decision.

I think living as a wageslave and not even affording good sleep would be way worse.

I can't sleep or eat. I was suppose to go out and buy a printer today but I was too depressed to leave the apartment.

If I tell my parents I'm dropping out it'll crush them, so I feel really fucked either way.

I'd say that you should keep going unless it's literally killing you.
Try to eat and sleep. I've found that living with my parenta makes me at least keep the basic habits like eating. Maybe a shared department could help you with that idk.

Keep in mind I may not be a good person to take advice from.

I already am. I'm on medication after I had to withdraw from all my courses last year due to a major depressive episode. I was getting better and a lot of it had to do with the medication but ever since I returned to uni my stress and anxiety have been worse than ever and the depression is flaring up again.

Like I don't think I can do this, I just want to live in my trailer in bum fuck nowhere and earn 45k a year.

My midterms are due this week and I literally have no fucks to give for them, which is shitty. But I truly don't have any care for my midterms. I've seen my grades gradually descending since week 1. Believe it or not, you are not alone. You are going through what is (with the possible exception of alcoholism) the single most common ailment among college students.

That fact alone might make you feel a little better, because it means that there is something in the experience - and NOT in your personal unworthiness - that generates this feeling.

And it also means that your uni health center is very experienced and sympathetic in dealing with students who feel this way.

Before you drop out, go to the student health center and ask to speak with a counselor.

Help IS available.

Quitting college won't make your depression go away. You should work on getting better while you're still in college. It'd just get harder to do anything once you're out of college. Take advantage of the counseling, social networks, and support systems in place on campus.
