If you get the job it'll suck.
If you don't get the job, you'll be broke.
Honestly, this is the first place that most teens and young adults will try to get into because it's fucking video games ma. What could go wrong?
So they're not hurting for applicants. You need something to stand out.
Are you:
>A girl?
Most guys, the main buyers at the store, will always prefer a girl, and if not, there can be a guy on shift if they're maximally overautism.
>A minority?
Quotas gotta get filled, man.
>Experienced in retail?
Already established not.
>Great at talking to random people?
Honestly, this is the big one. If you get an interview, you need to be smooth and respectful.
>Friends with a worker?
They're your in. Wait for them to say that there's an opening, then ask them to put you on the top of the list. This is your best option.
If you have none of these, put in the application, but don't get your hopes up that you'll even get a call back.
