Hey /adv/ so I'm 24 going on 25 next August and I've spent the last 3 years training for IT Stuff but the issue is I just don't really have any passion for it. I understand the material to a degree, but I lack the drive to go out and keep accumulating knowledge or experimenting with things or looking up the latest upcoming technology. I'm worried this will set me up for failure in my career so I'm thinking of going back to school either to finish my IT program or to start a new program altogether.
I'm basically torn between doing something I think would be fun (that I've had no experience doing) and going for something practical. I don't have many passions, I enjoy a lot of things but I don't have any one particular interest I'd love to do over and over and over. Sports are the one thing I've noticed I can really get into and talk a bunch about (along with things like MtG, DND, video games, etc.) but I have no desire to be on air personality, and I lack the credentials to work in any capacity with a sports team. I was thinking about getting into video production in hopes I could work at a sports network, or at an arena, because to me that sounds amazing, being behind the scenes and getting to see these events live and in person. My issue is I've never done video production, and I'd obviously need to go to school, but I don't know how much of a "sure thing" it would be. I just want to get out of college and get a job, work 9 to 5, and make upwards of 50K-100K. Just enough to be able to afford the middle class life without being paycheck to paycheck constantly. Is there any good/in demand jobs that just require a college education and not complete dedication in ones off hours? What would be some fields I could look into that basically just require me to show up with my knowledge from college and crank out 8 or 9 hour shifts and go home?
