I hate my home office/travel 5 days a week/computer job and want to quit and get into something more social, notably bartending.
I live in a popular and young American city with a really great nightlife so I won't have any problems making enough money.
How can I go about doing this? I understand most folks start out barbacking, how long can I expect to do that before getting into actually bartending?
Is there anything I should look for in a place to work or just roll down the strip and find the first bar I like to apply to?
