Is 2000 dollars enough to just leave and start over? My life has gone downhill for years now. It seems like things are just always falling apart. I know you cant just run away from your problems, it solves nothing blah blah blah. But a new start is something I've fantasized about and sometimes it seems like it would be the best option. So is 2000 enough? What would you do in a similar situation with 2000? Image unrelated. Don't have anything else in my phone.

2000 will last you a month or less. unless you have a job arranged where ever you're going it's unlikely

I'd shoot for 10k for a serious shot at doing better for yourself. Work for a year, conserve as much money as possible while looking for regionally reasonable places, then move.

If you screw it up you'll end up really unhappy. One year isn't long, and even on minimum wage you should be able to multiply your 2000 many times over.

Yea, sure. Perhaps join one of those organic/sustainable communities. It's one of my idealistic dreams where I work around the property, chop trees, garden, feed animals, and have a good time. Make my own booze, do shrooms from the forest with some other members, provide music in the tavern during dinner or nightly drinks

keep saving more

keep planning your move out project

do internet searching for apartments see what they cost - ditto try to find some job openings where you want to move - how to move your stuff

you are still living with your parents yes ? try to figure out just how much it costs each month if you move out alone

I used to think this would be nice, but currently sharing accommodations with my girlfriends parents. We moved in for a month to save money, after living on our own for a year. Its stressful, and our relationship is suffering. Honestly, id like to just have my own place. Its getting close to the end of the month, and I can't spend another month with her parents. If we dont find a place soon, I might just leave.
