Im a 29 year old who has been taking ritalin for the last 5 years for ADD. Im currently at 20mgs twice a day. However it seems I have finally built a resistance to it as it last maybe an hour or two before it wears off. I had gastric bypass so its hard to find meds that will work. I cant take extended release because it will pass through my system too fast. While researching what I can take I came across Vyvanse. My mom takes it as well and had extra from her last dose change so I took one.
Omg it was amazing I could focus so well and it lasted for the whole day like 10+ hours. I manged to get things done that have been sitting around because I couldn't focus. My question is how can I bring this up to my doctor without seeming like weird? Should I tell him the truth and tell him I toom one of my moms 70mg ones and I had great results? I don't wanna get in trouble is all.
