I'm 21 year old homosexual male and I've only come out to one of my close family members.

I'm considering coming out to a close friend of mine. But I don't know, kinda scared. I know she'll accept me and keep my secret, but I'm scared her attitude towards me will change. Like things will become awkward because I kept a secret from her for circa 4 years.

Could someone tell his/her personal experience like this?

I feel like it's going to be too late if I'm not open. On the other hand I'm scared of people's reactions, my relationships, my future. I live in a 50-50 gay friendly-homophobic environment. But I have the chance to move out to a gay friendly country in the future because I have multiple citizenships and am bilingual.
