I am not attracted to my boyfriend anymore.
He is a bit limp dick, sex is boring, has a low-ish sex drive, he is immature, a bit of a coward and he acts too silly out in public. I still feel like I love him but I don't think he is attractive anymore and I don't think he is long term potential.

If I break up with him, should I be honest? Or should I lie to avoid hurting him?

sounds like he has low test. have you talked about his limp dick? i had this prob with my gf around 1.5 years into the relationship. it was a combo of not going to the gym anymore, jacking off too much, and a boring/repetitive sex life. i couldnt get it up on v-day and felt like a fucking idiot. i started going to the gym again and eating right. it helped a lot but it is mostly the jacking that kills the boners.

but if you dont see him in your future for more than just his limp dick, then maybe ending it is the best bet. just tell him you dont think you two have a future anymore..

Discuss these problems with him. Don't shout. Calmly tell him to initiate more in sex and to act more mature out in public. (I don't know how to fix the cowardly thing)

Help him change and encourage him when he feels down.

He give him a few chances and some time, if none of this changes (and don't gain attraction for him) then leave him after a month or so.

If you do break up, keep your reasons brief unless he pries. Perhaps, hurt his feelings. A little harshness might do him good in his next relationship.
