I'm a designer. I just got a new job. One that I really love.
A little backstory; almost half a year ago I interviewed at this company. The owner wanted to interview me himself but ended up being 4 hours late. I stayed because the secretary kept being told to tell me it would only be another half hour, then another then another. I honestly didn't care. I had no car and no way home for hours anyways. So during that time the secretary pretty much interviewed me and told me all the things to say and not to say. She told me she was the one who found my resume online, she set up the interview and said that "i feel very comfortable around you, i can tell you right now that i've never interacted this way with any other applicants before. There is just something about you." The boss finally got there, spoke to me while also speaking on his phone with someone else for about 10 minutes. I did not end up getting the job. About a week later the secretary called me and said "i'm sorry you didn't get the job, but i really like your work and have my own side business i'm launching and would love your help " now this woman is in her later 30s, married, kids. we meet a number of times. each time she is in a dress with a short skirt. come to find her "business" is woman's lubricants… "i want women not to feel ashamed of dryness, but at least i don't have that problem!"
