I was expecting a very important court document which I had to pay for it to be delivered. After 3 weeks I called the courthouse and talked to the post office. Post office said it most likely got delivered to my neighbor. So I go over there and some 20-something Mexican rolls out of bed to answer the door and says "oh yeah, some probation letter right?" I know now that they got my mail and opened it. It had nothing to do with probation but I can see how they thought that since the cops are at their house all the time.
So I said yeah, it's really important I get that document. She looked for it then said she'd have to wait for her mom to get home to find it.
Still haven't gotten the document, and if I don't by Friday it will cost me hundreds. All I can do is report it to the postmaster. They probably won't pursue anything and the Mexicans will probably kill me or my dog or both. Advice?
