I need some reassurance. I work at a store part of a big fast food chain as a common employee. I do closes, which are nasty business and we close late. I work really hard and get all my work done, and everyone knows this, including the manager, but I half-ass my uniform because I hate most of the set. There was surprise inspection, where one never occurred so late before, and I was caught without most of my uniform, which was noted in the report. The report was horrible because the store is always a pigsty when I come in because the manager is lazy and doesn't do physical work, forcing one employee to work alone usually, and I always have to haul ass to make sure it looks nice and tidy by the end of the night. The boss is coming in tomorrow supposedly, and I don't know if I'm going to be berated directly for breaking uniform code or if all the other issues in the store are more prominent here. Can anyone wise in Canadian legal matters tell me if it's justified to fire me for uniform malfeasance? I've never had warnings or reprimands before. Please put my mind at ease...
