Changing this is a painful process. It really is. This is something we often forget, or else, in our own self-righteousness, have difficulty empathizing with. I am sorry to tell you that there is no easier way.
But if you are committed to changing this, it starts with introspection. Why do you feel the way you do? Why is his race a problem? Why is this incorrect, and more to the point, why is it wrong? Why do you need to change?
Until you can answer those questions, nothing else matters, because it won't stick. It is a ruthless way to treat yourself, and I wish there were another way, but this is what works.
