Its my third day of working as a waitor at pizza hut. When I got the job, they gave me one day to get my uniform, then I had to start a 9am to 8pm shift at the busiest time of the year - kids holidays. I could only find cheap shoes (we can only wear a specific kind) as no where else did a size large enough for me.

I wore the shoes to my first shift and by the end of the shift I could not walk, my boyfriend had to physically carry me home. My shoes were filled with blood and I had/have about 11 deep wounds on each foot.

Second day of work, I put on the shoes and limp slowly to work. I get in and explain what the shoes have done. Not long after I ask to go home as I cannot walk. The manager allows me to do so. I bought a new pair of shoes on my way home.

Its now my third day of work, I walked to the bus stop and broke into tears as the pain was so bad. I have a thick sock as well as 14 plasters on each foot and my new "comfy" shoes. The fact the shoes are comfy makes no difference as the wounds are so large its impossible not to make contact. Am I going to be fired if I call in on my THIRD DAY sick AGAIN? There is no way I won't be crying and limping through the restaurant but would they prefer that???
