Four years ago I lost the girl of my dreams. Mostly because I tried the PUA negging shit (it was in style at the time) out of bad advice I took from this board. A few months later, I started to finally realise how much I really fell in love with her, and how much of a fucking moron I was for buying into that shit and pushing her away.
This was enough to shake me out of that habit. I've spent the years since trying not to be that guy anymore, and attempting to root those behaviours and mindsets out of me any way I could (which takes at least months to master). I guess you can say this was my way of trying to get her back. But since I knew I was never going to see her again, I was gunning for meeting someone just like her instead, and getting it right with them.
She was a smart, cultured, well-rounded person. Impeccably kind, sweet, warm, inviting, and puts you in this enchantment in her mere presence. She was someone you could discuss books with, take to an art museum, an upscale bar and theatre, etc. Hell our first date was at an underground bookstore (one of the ways I tried working on myself these days was by reading more). She was kind of a blank slate and shy type upon first meeting. But once you got to know her... man... she was a jaw dropper in one than one way.
