You wouldn't be in this position if you weren't an asshole to her. There are always going to be people you don't like and you don't get along with, get over it. The solution is to tolerate them, not ignore them, especially in the workplace where you rely on them in order to earn your livelihood. You sound like a massive child.

If the managers are on her defense, there isn't anything you can do. If you bring it up to her, she'll whine about harassment. However if you think you can talk to the managers I would do so. You should have already established a repertoire with them (you want to get on your bosses, or at least a couple of your bosses good sides' whenever you come into a new work place) they should at least hear you out. If you're ignoring her just because she annoys you, then you aren't really being a team player and I can't help you much, it sucks but some people HAVE to have their asses kissed. If she's actually bringing your work down, say so, say exactly why, and say that you will be nicer, as long as she doesn't continue to interfere with your work

I guess I was just ranting more now, but still was just a little angry. Not upset like before though.

Philadelphia, it's a small customer service position at a college desk, i.e. receptionist, paperwork was delivered by manager and I was told to sign a PIP and was warned. I have yet to sign the paper but I was told I have to sign it and return it by Monday, or presumably I am terminated. The paper says "your signature doesn't mean you agree with the contents, only that you have reviewed them with your supervisor."

The reason for this is that I work in 4 different buildings. In three of them, I am the only one at the desk, so my job is to sit there and help customers. This one building, which has its own manager, is the only one with 2 people, and I only started working at this building too a few weeks ago because I was recommended by the other building managers, and I was never trained in this building because it's essentially the same job as all the others, so I just did the same thing. So that's why this happened and I was surprised to get a complaint, which now has to be forwarded for some reason to the managers for every other building as well so that the probation carries over every building and if I screw up anywhere, I lose the whole thing. I could just quit at the one building that has 2 people on desk, but the probation still carries and that's why I was ranting, because I generally do a good job, and if I quit at the one building I lose money, which is never good of course.

I get what you mean. It's a bogus situation. $20 says fatty and bubbly manager are friends or at least talk often and if you do something frivolous that triggers her, she'll whine about it. Manager is probably a people pleaser so your best instinct here is to butter her up (if you want/need the job that bad)

As a female who has encountered this blisteringly stupid confrontations with other women in business, I know their tactics. You have to cover your ass as much as possible, make it seem like "Oh yes you're SO right! You're absolutely right and I'll do better however, my problem was because SHE's the problem"
Shifting the blame etc.
It's fucking stupid and annoying and I hate it and it's why I no longer work in business, but it's the game women play when you put them in a position of authority.
