I just need some opinions.
My girlfriend and I live about a half hour away. We're both very busy people. She's my very first girlfriend.
I recently made a comment that I didn't need to make that made her feel like I was pushing her away from me, like I don't have time for her. She said she makes sacrifices to make time for me and to me, she seems like an afterthought, like she comes second.
I don't know what to do. My schedule is pretty packed with things that are very important to me. She's really important to me, but she's right, i've been treating her like a hobby instead of a girlfriend. But I don't know how to fix that.
The 30 minute difference is a train ride, not a car ride, so it's not like I can go out to her every time I have a free hour, and she can't do the same for me. She said her feelings are hurt and I feel like an asshole, I don't want to make her feel this way, I care about her a lot.
How do I fix this? How do I make this right? We are separated by distance and we each have limited time. I want to make this work but i'm being completely honest here I can't prioritize her over classes or my family 100% or the time. I just can't do that.
I need help. This is my first ever fight with a girlfriend and I'm sure I'm overreacting but I feel like she's losing interest. It's only been a month.
