I was in the Peace Corps, and no, I experienced no discrimination by the organization. I'm straight, but there were a number of gay volunteers who faced no discrimination by the organization or other volunteers. That said, I was in a very muslim country (Senegal), and the gay volunteers could NOT come out to their villages or host families because the country is so anti-gay, for their own safety. That said, no one experienced problems - Senegalese guys are very touchy-feely, and homosexuality is so underground there that no villagers suspected that even the most flamboyant volunteers were gay
