How do I increase the likelihood of getting genuine advice from this board?

It seems like every time I come here for help with something, I just receive sarcastic edgy responses or I don't get any responses at all and I've noticed similar things going on in other threads.

I thought this board was meant to be helpful, and not exist to put others down and shit post.

What annoys me is the constant need to tell people to commit suicide when they post. You need to understand a lot of people are already suffering from depression and may already be suicidal. Stop being an edge lord for a few seconds and you might not push people further down than they already are.

But you can increase your chances with a clear, thought-through and specific question. Avoid generic questions that are already in the active catalog a half-dozen times (How do I kill myself? How do I get over the girl?) And no question is worth more than a single paragraph. If you're going to go on through 3 or 4 chapters, you'll lose readers.
