Hey adv, I have a work issue. I work part time at a clothing store, my normal roster is once a week but sometimes I take extra shifts at other stores. The thing is I was told by my manager a manager at the store I took an extra shift at b4 put me on a shift for Sunday without asking me if I was even free. I'm pretty pissed off because I'm not a casual worker. Am I in the wrong?

That's a bit odd that you're a part timer but only get one shift a week at your own store. They're basically using you as a donkey to cover the shifts they don't want to work at other stores. Call them and tell them you need advance notification of any shifts, and to confirm with you first because you might have stuff going on that day (in a nice way).

Geez, I'm a casual and get 4 days a week at my own store. Maybe get another job because your hours sound shit.

I don't even.like working in a clothing store, I think I'll quit at the end of this year. It's my first job ever so I've always been trying to make use of any shift I get but yeah I feel like a donkey. The only guy I liked quit and manager never shifted us together.

Fuck it next year my course will be really demanding so I'm not dealing with this shot anymore. Gonna work at some grocery store insstead

Grocery stores blow just as much. Especially the fucking deli. Only good thing about them is that the decent stores are unionized.

just deal with it until then and realize that surprise if you want to get $$ for working then you have to put up with shite

no matter where you work what you do there will be some shite from somebody you have to deal with
