so, this guy I really like recently told me that he has depression.
he tells me that some days he just can't do it, you know, those days when you just aren't feeling it (that's how he explained it to me).
recently these days when he is down have become more and more frequent. it's making me really sad seeing him down. he withdraws from us all, and just sits away from us at class and keeps his distance for the most part. he's a lot quieter than usual, and shows more of his introverted traits. sometimes we'll walk off at break and we'll just sit by ourselves, not really speaking much.
I want to make him better again, because the days when he is feeling okay, they're pretty good. it's like he's a completely different person... we get up to dumb shit and talk about everything there is to talk about and just sit during break time and annoy eachother like little school kids. he cracks jokes and acts the fool. he's great in that way, I guess.

for the record, I have anxiety so can sort of understand when people want their space, but is it the same for someone with depression? do they want someone to come and keep them company, or is it best to let them breathe and deal with whatever inner turmoil they have? basically, what do I do when he isn't with it... let him be or be his pal?
